Welcome to
my personal web site. My name is Lisa Martin, as you've probably
gathered by the header at the top of the site. The aim of this site
is to tell you a little bit about myself and to give you a glimpse
of what I have accomplished.
If you're an employer looking for an employee who is hard working,
honest and reliable, has great driving and computer skills, please
don't hesitate to contact me.
I
am currently working as an urban bus driver in Tokoroa. I have really enjoyed this, and the chance that it has
given me to work in the driving industry and to build a strong
foundation of driving skills while ensuring passenger safety and providing professional customer service. I possess a passion for providing a great experience to every passenger and for giving assistance, advice and guidance to the public when requested.
I have a range of practical skills and enjoy communicating with
people. I take pride in the work that I do and consider myself
to be a focused and methodical worker with particular emphasis
on attention to detail. I relate well to people of all ages,
cultures and background and experienced in providing a high
standard of customer service. I am always on time and ready to
work. I am a fast learner and I'm willing to undertake further
training to learn new skills that will enhance my employment
opportunities.

I
have always had Rottweilers, to me they are the best dog in the
world. Loyal, smart, loving, silly and goofy. A calm, confident, and
courageous dog with a self-assured aloofness that does not lend
itself to immediate and indiscriminate friendships.
For the first time I was gifted an English Bull Terrier from the breeder. My new puppy turned out to be more rambunctious than I bargained for, wildly boisterous, stubborn, definitely very special and not like other breeds! But the sweetest fun-loving and humerous dog.
I am a first time bully owner. Born 2023, meet Bruce the English Bull Terrier! Mischievous, fun-loving, courageous, fearless, active, energetic, clownish and playful. Bruce is a loyal and loving companion.
But he steals food, chews shoes, plays with toilet paper, drags my dressing gown outside through the mud, digs holes, rips up bedding.
He will suddenly bolt around the house or section at top speed, doing circles. It’s like living with a tornado that doesn’t know how to slow down.
He bounces off furniture, jumps off people, and climbs walls just to chase a moth.
His tail wags at 100 miles horizontal, vertical and round and round whacking kids and other dogs in the face, and drinks off coffee tables.
He is insistent on being a lap dog, oblivious to his size. Bruce is very affectionate, loves to cuddle, often in the most awkward and uncomfortable positions.
His quirks, stubborn antics, unique characteristics and mischievous charm makes every day an entertaining adventure.
Jahna was born in 2014 and through
hard work and careful grooming she had, by the tender age of 8
weeks, already begun to form into the super-model of a dog she would
one day grow to be. So when I saw her as a cute cuddly puppy I just
couldn't resist her charms, or her legendary mind control powers...
and so Jahna became a member of the family.
Jahna likes food, laxing in the back of the panelvan, car rides
with her head out the window (I ride a motorbike so I know why
she loves this) walks at the park, swimming, stealing then
catch-me-if-you-can, people and every other animal. Jahna
dislikes not being fed, left home alone and being ignored.
From
the earliest age Juno would display some of the character traits
that would follow her for life, such as barking. Juno enjoy a
good chat, this involved barking and growling her head off. It
is believed that sometimes she just likes a chat, other times
she is complaining or she just likes the sound of her own voice.
One of her typical dog like peculiarities is going through phases of eating anything and everything (such as shoes, wood, and other animals). She is always interested in whatever you are eating e.g. pasta, sandwiches, chips etc. Perhaps her favourite fast food is KFC, bring home this stuff and her eyes light up! While you're eating this she'll be your best friend in the world, at least until the chicken runs out.
Her main
activities in the household are watching TV, attacking her toys
(in a very 'interesting' manner), waiting at the gate for a cat
or the postie to bark at, and walking through and eating my
garden. Juno liked food, car rides, the rug in front of the
fire, walks at the park and swimming. Juno disliked cats, being
patted the 'wrong' way, the postie, my friends and anyone near
her bone.
Rommel
was territorial and was weary of strangers on the property but
loved visitors he knew and would run around looking for his
giant kiwi teddy bear to greet people with at the door.
Rommel loved hanging out with Ishka, and would follow her
everywhere.
Ishka
was my first Rottweiler, born in 1993 she was given to me as a 7
week old puppy after spending months in hospital after a serious
accident. She was super friendly and so much fun, always doing
something goofy. She would visit an elderly neighbour who lived
on his own then steal his food on the way out. Another neighbour
was taking her shopping inside and Ishka jumped into her car and
stole a cake out of another shopping bag. She had so much
personality and was so much fun to have around. Ishka had taught
me that Rottweilers were the ONLY breed I wanted.
Ishka loved rides on the back of the ute, walks at the park,
visiting the neighbours, play fighting and playing
catch-me-if-you-can. She also liked escaping from the section in
the middle of the night and be on the front doorstep crying to
get inside on sunrise. I couldn't work out how she was escaping
so called for her from the road and was shocked she got through
an electric fence, a six foot wire fence, shrubs then jumped a
six foot wood fence.
